UI hidden from your own captures
Recorder vanishes from screen — and from the recording.
In stealth mode, the window is hidden via Win32 WDA_EXCLUDEFROMCAPTURE — the recorder UI never ends up in your own footage. Press Ctrl+Alt+H to switch back. The recording continues uninterrupted.

01 — Features

Built for people who actually record their screen.

No watermarks, no upgrade prompts, no "create an account to continue." A clean recorder that respects your hardware and stays out of your way.

001
Hardware encoding
NVENC on NVIDIA, Quick Sync on Intel — your GPU does the work, your CPU stays free. Software fallback (libx264 / libx265) for everything else.
002
FFmpeg subprocess
Recording runs in a separate process so a UI crash never costs footage. Every common Windows encoder is supported — pick yours in the drawer.
003
100% local
No telemetry, no upload pipeline, no account, no analytics. Recordings live in ~/Videos/Screen and stay there until you move them.
004
Cooperative shutdown
FFmpeg gets a clean q on stdin so the MP4 trailer always flushes — files are valid even if Windows sleeps mid-recording.
005
Global hotkeys
Start, stop, toggle — bound system-wide via Win32 RegisterHotKey. Default is Ctrl+Alt+R. Never hunt for the window again.
006
Distraction-free
UI hidden via WDA_EXCLUDEFROMCAPTURE — the recorder window never appears in your own screen captures. Toggle with Ctrl+Alt+H.
007
Pick your quality
Codec, bitrate, FPS, container, audio device — all in the in-app drawer. Defaults: NVENC, 30 fps, 12 Mbps, MP4 with +faststart.
008
Atomic config
JSON settings written via tempfile + os.replace. Combined with frag_keyframe+empty_moov, even kill -9 leaves a playable MP4.
02 — Hotkeys

Drive it from the keyboard.

Bound via Win32 RegisterHotKey on a dedicated message-loop thread — they keep working when the recorder window has no focus.

Ctrl+Alt+R
Toggle recording
Start or stop the current capture session.
Ctrl+Alt+H
Switch mode
Flip between visible and distraction-free without stopping the recording.
Ctrl+Alt+P
Stop and hide
Cooperative stop, then tuck the window away. MP4 trailer always flushed.
03 — How it works

Three steps to a clean recording.

No accounts, no setup wizards beyond a one-click FFmpeg download. Open the app, press the orb, you're recording.

STEP 01

Pick your settings

Codec, bitrate, FPS, output folder — all in the in-app drawer. Defaults: NVENC h.264, 30 fps, 12 Mbps, MP4.

STEP 02

Hit record

The orb on the dashboard, or Ctrl+Alt+R from anywhere on Windows. The timer starts immediately.

STEP 03

Find your file

Same hotkey to stop. FFmpeg flushes the trailer; the MP4 lands in your Videos folder, ready to scrub or trim.
